The Big Bang Theory's king of geeks Jim Parsons gets chic makeover for GQ magazine

He's know for playing geeky scientist Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, but Jim Parsons really stepped up his fashion game to appear in the March issue of GQ magazine.
In contrasting looks, the 39-year-old comedian showed his fashionable side and some of menswear's hottest new trends, such as the laceless loafer.
Donning a fitted, plaid button-down and ankle-length grey slacks, the Emmy award winner amped up his signature look with  a tan, suede option of spring's stylish footwear.
Ignoring the old rule that accessories have to match, Jim paired his pieces with a skinny dark brown leather belt, thin black tie, and black leather wrist watch as he pointed at the camera, mid-step.

The Broadway actor switched it up for another snapshot, wearing a red-collared polo and cuffed denim pants, but kept with a similar theme by wearing patent leather loafers and a red watch around his wrist.
Sitting with his right cheek resting on his hand, he covered his eyes with trendy jet black shades and flashed a modest smirk.
Behind the scenes, Jim explained his views on award show etiquette in a video Q&A segment titled And The Winner Is...Not You.

Giving his two sense on what not to wear, he stated: 'A guy should never wear a T-shirt to an awards show.

'Then again, if that's what you’re in to… disrespecting your peers, your elders, and those that you work with, go for it.'
On the worst thing you can do at an awards show, he quipped: 'Well, I want to say would be to fall down but I don't think you should vomit or sh*t yourself, either.'
About how to be a gracious loser, he explained: 'When the award is being announced and you’re not winning it, the camera is within 8 inches to a foot of your face the whole time.
'I would smile, and you maybe nod like ‘Oh, that’s a good choice,’ and clap, you know. I don't know what other people feel like.
'My face is trembling by the end [from] just smiling the whole time. I always want to take a long nap after that.'
