She loves her leather! Kim Kardashian teams a floor length black dress with her favourite trousers

When it comes to maternity wear Kim Kardashian has taken rather an unconventional approach.
And while her aversion to smock dresses and elasticated waists is impressive, it occasionally leads to some rather strange outfits.
The reality star stepped out in an eye-catching combination of leather trousers and an unusual dress-type top on Tuesday.

With Los Angeles experiencing a rare rainy day Kim covered up by layering a blazer on top of the dress - also in black.
A pair of high black leather sandals completed the look.

Kim was photographed in her outfit as she left a photography studio and headed to a petrol station to fill up her car.
Women are advised that if possible they should stay clear of the pump while pregnant, in order to avoid inhaling fumes which could affect their child's development.

While the risks of the any dangerous chemicals being at high enough levels to cause a problem are very low, Kim didn't take any chances.

Instead a helpful paparazzi stepped in to fill her tank as the 32-year-old stood clear of the fumes.
Later in the day Kim caught up with her step father Bruce Jenner and her now fuller figured brother Rob.

The threesome had just finished a family meeting in Encino and stopped to grab some food.
Rob, who donned a hooded sweatsuit and sweat pants, did not seem too impresserd with the meeting tweeting:
'This Family meeting just got super awkward.'
Perhaps he was not impressed by Kim's penchant for leather.

Despite the unforgiving nature of leather Kim has boldly chosen to incorporate much of the material into her maternity wardrobe.
Along with her collection of leather trousers, which both she and boyfriend Kanye West are fans of, Kim has also been spotted in a leather dress.
The shiny black outfit clung to her pregnancy curves as she posed on the red carpet while making a brief but lucrative public appearance in Nigeria on Sunday.
Once Kim welcomes her baby in the summer she may well find the wipe-clean nature of leather appealing.

However with her growing bump it is not very practical for now, with Kim's growing waistline meaning she will soon grow out of her purchases.
