He's always been her star! James Franco's mother Betsy beams with pride as he joins the Walk Of Fame

With a starring role in the eagerly awaited Oz: The Great And Powerful, he's already the man of the moment.
And what better way for James Franco to consolidate his success than with a star on the walk of fame?
And at his side was the woman to whom he's always been a star - his mother Betsy Lou Franco.

The 34-year-old actor was honored on Thursday by receiving a star on the famous sidewalk in front of the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, California.
The actor looked extremely happy to receive such an honor, but it's hard to tell who was more excited: him or his mother.
Wearing an orange dress and dressy black sandals, Betsy could not stop grinning, appearing to be extremely proud of her successful son.

The two posed in a series of shots where Betsy wrapped both arms around her son, as he towered over with one arm around her shoulder.
They were joined by James' younger brother Dave, who seemed proud of his successful sibling as they posed together.
James tweeted a picture of the duo beforehand, saying 'Off to the star ceremony.'

Along with the social media announcement was a picture of himself with his eyes closed, as mum cuddled up next to him.
Though the picture was most likely a joke, surely the actor must also be burnt out a bit, as he's been busy traveling to promote his latest flick Oz the Great and Powerful, alongside Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams
His rumored girlfriend and Spring Breakers costar Ashley Benson appeared to be absent from the ceremony, but Oz the Great and Powerful director Sam Raimi was at his side, along with Franco's family members.

Same goes for Seth Rogen, who starred with James in Pineapple Express back in 2008.
The two have become quite chummy over the years, proven by Seth's podium appearance.
Taking the stand, Seth gave a speech about the rising star, who seemed to enjoy what the Knocked Up actor was saying, caught chuckling at his remarks.
Seth even joined James for a photo op, holding his hand toward the star-engraved pavement as James gave a big thumbs up to the camera.
