Caught in a pram jam! Bruce Willis shields baby Mabel Ray as he and his wife Emma Heming get stuck in a pack of pushchairs

He's currently starring on the silver screen as John McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard.
But Bruce Willis got to experience an action adventure first hand on Saturday as he came to the rescue of his baby Mabel Ray while on a shopping trip at the Century City mall in Los Angeles.
His wife Emma got stuck in a pram jam as she and two other women with pushchairs all vied for the lift at the same time.

It all started when he and his wife Emma Heming, ready to end their day after taking in a bit of shopping at the mall, made their way back to the car park.
Having collected a few too many bags, Bruce elected to carry his darling daughter and place their new goodies in her stroller - a lighter weight for Emma to push as well.
But as they made their way to the lift, they found themselves surrounded.

An elderly woman approached, herself also pushing along a young tot in a grey topped pushchair, bags and blankets spilling over the sides.
Suddenly, the lift door opened to reveal a woman already inside, clutching her pram and bracing for the impending tight squeeze.
The group took a moment to strategise. While the endeavour may have seemed a bit trivial for his rough and tumble character in the Die Hard series, Bruce had the task to decide whether to put ladies first, or family first.

Ladies first: The task of fitting the prams into the elevator was a difficult one

In the end, Bruce's chivalry showed true: while shielding Mabel Ray in his arms, he held the sliding door open, ushering the elderly woman and her child first.
Next he did the same for Emma, standing guard as his model wife, clad in a striped top and black skinny trousers, pushed her pram along.
The 34-year-old brunette looked thankful that the incident had come to an end, and soon the trio were safe inside the lift.

Can I get a go? Emma patiently waited her turn

While Bruce's latest film has been given a critical spanking, the fifth in the Die Hard series has been a box office success, already making $221m in box office sales in the first few weeks.
And the 57-year-old actor said he is still not ready to hang up his vest for good.
He said: 'Not yet. I'm not retiring, I'm just older. There's still stories we can get out of this character.'

In his 30-year career, Bruce Willis has won a Golden Globe and two Emmys, but he's never been nominated for an Academy Award.
'You don't get an Oscar for comedy, and you don't get it for shooting people,' the Pulp Fiction actor told GQ magazine last month.
'You get it for novelty, for being fascinating to watch in some character role. But the Die Hard stuff and Dirty Harry are all fraught with the same thing that every story is fraught with.'
